To me, a friend can sometimes be more than just someone I enjoy spending some time with. My friends (or some of them), are like family to me. In them I trust with my eyes closed, I confess personal information that is very sensitive to me and I search for advice.
I try to do the same to them. I do understand that we all have things going on with our lives’, we have family to take care of, our careers/jobs to worry about and relationship matters to concern. But we all have to agree that there are some ‘friends’ who only want to take part in our lives when it comes to going to parties or having fun.
This is a message from a person very close to me and my heart. Someone who is currently confused about who their real friends are or even what they want and expect from her. This is the way she is finding best to get things out of her chest...

We first must ask ourselves, what are friends?
Friends are selfless carrying, nurturing and most importantly truthful. Someone who will tell you when you’re wrong and praise you when you’re right. They will be the first ones to support your dream.
Well, I don't feel as if any of my so called "friends" are any of that! For starters they are not supportive of my music or art career. If I had an event right now and they knew about it, they would not turn up just like that. If they are true friends, they will not need an invitation to attend something that I am passionate about, you know what I mean? ... I call these so called friends: Party friends because they really ever remembered me when it was Friday and there was a party to attend.
But where are they now? Gone through some rough times, they were nowhere to be seen. All I kept seeing were pictures taken being posted without me in it titled "about last night with my friends.
But I bet if I became publicly famous somehow they will all of a sudden call me friend possibly best friend.... fake'ass friends.”
